An 80-year-old man was referred to our department for evaluation of repetitive loss of consciousness and faintness with hypokalemia. He had relatively low blood pressure, hypomagnesemia, hypocalciuria and chondrocalcinosis in the knee, clinically suggesting Gitelman's syndrome.
