5-3 Study on Extended Coding Scheme Conforming to 4:4:4 Chroma Format within HEVC Framework
High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) is an on-going standardization item as a next generation video coding. In this paper, we propose an extended coding scheme conforming RGB chroma format with HEVC framework. The proposed method applies luma coding tools for all color components in order to improve the coding performance of chrome component. The gain of random access condition is 15.1% compared with the HM8.0 as an anchor method through an experiment.
