Wireless access in hybrid fiber/coax (HFC) networks can integrate two major telecommunication infrastructure, i.e., wireless and HFC networks. This paper studies the technical feasibility of integrating IS-95 code-division-multiple-access (CDMA) wireless networks and HFC networks. Capacity estimation of an HFC optical node-based CDMA cellular systems using a return-path channel model is provided. In addition to multiple access interference in IS-95 CDMA networks, the returnpath channel modeldoi:10.1117/12.312861 fatcat:hhptqkypnzc3xjblnfwhl3wmeu
