The Review of Laser Engineering
Overview of the HiLASE project is reported. Development of high-power, picosecond laser sources is desirable for industrial, scientific, and medical applications. The framework of the Research Program 1 (RP1) of the HiLASE project is to develop both the 500-mJ at 1-kHz repetition rate and the 5-mJ at 100-kHz repetition rate laser systems with 1 2ps pulse duration based on thin disk technology.
