Universidad y violencia de género: el caso de las universitarias de Guerrero, México

This article specifically addresses the study of living conditions and characteristics of gender-based violence experienced by higher-level students in Mexico, particularly in the southern region, which is the poorest, most marginalized and violent, as is the case of the students of the Autonomous University of Guerrero (UAGRO), in what concerns the family space, in their dating relationships or in the university space, which allows characterizing the gender relations that make up part of the

The research findings express that university students are highly dependent on their parents' resources to survive and a significant proportion have suffered gender violence, in higher-level educational and family institutions, as well as in their affective dating / partner relationships, which constitutes them as reproductive spaces of aggressive social relationships, of sexist socialization modes crossed for power relations based on gender inequality and place them in conditions of violence and vulnerability.
