Ligation behaviour of the complexes has been established by reacting them with Cdl2, AgOCOCF 3, AgOCOCCJ3 , AgSCN, HgCI2, Hg(OCOCCI3)2, Hg(OCOCF3)2 and Hg(SCN)2• The bimetallic adducts were formed through the coordination of the sulfur atom of phenylmercury(I)) 0, 0 -dialkyllalkylene dithiophosphate to the soft metal acceptors.
