This paper presents a hierarchical planning method for battery energy storage system (BESS) operator and the distribution company (DISCO) collaborative planning in the distribution network with application scenarios that BESS operator invests the constructions of BESS. The charge and discharge contract price is chosen as the optimization variable, in order to achieve the optimizing scheduling of BESS.
