On this second slide also is provided the log.-log. scale, a B scale which is marked both L and KTV, a scale marked Dynamo nlot'or and a scale marked Volt Loss. The Dynamo scale and the Motor scale are used in conjunction with the scales A and B, renamed for convenience HP and K IY respectively, for determining efficiencies of dynamos and motors, while scale L and the Volt-Loss scale are for use with A, which gives the area of cross-section of the lead in square millimetres.
