The use of epidural steroid injection in spinal stenosis pain management has expanded greatly. Calcitonin is also effective in relieving neuropathic pain in spinal canal stenosis through the mechanisms of arterial dilation, anti-inflammation, anti-edema, and rises in beta endorphin levels.
