H 4 N 2 ) 2 ], the Pd II cations occupy crystallographic inversion centres and adopt a slightly distorted square-planar coordination geometry. Adjacent molecules are linked into one-dimensional chains via longrange pairwise PdÁ Á ÁCl interactions.
