Another New Species of Calyptogena (Bivalvia : Vesicomyidae) from Bathyal Depth in Suruga Bay, Japan
de(Jtptogena (Ebtentrgena) .fausta n. sp. was found in bathyal depth of Suruga Bay. Honshu, Japan, by the submersible Shinkai 20(X). It is characterized by elongated and compressed shell with glossy periostracum, oblique J-shaped cardinal tooth and distinctly elongated posterior lateral tooth. Sinoe drb{ptogena sco,oae Okutani, 1957 was first discovered from a depth of 750m in Sagami Bay, and subsequently in a large biocoenoses near Hatsushima Islet (Okutani and Egawa, 1985), four more
