Globoid cell leukodystrophy, also known as Krabbe disease, is an inherited metabolic neurodegenerative disease, due to genetic mutation of β-galactocerebrosidase gene. Here we reviewed how the technological advances in gene analysis have enhanced the enrichment of mutation database.
