Microbes play an important role in the wetland ecosystem, and DNA sequencing technology is one of the important tools to study microbes. Recently, the booming development of high-throughput sequencing technologies has made it possible for us to research more accurately about microorganisms in wetland ecosystem. In this review, the difference between high-throughput sequencing and other sequencing technologies is described.
