The Fundamental Study to Reduce the Settled Area of the Fish Aggregation Devices on the Sea Floor Thrown from a Ship

This study aims at clarifying the effective method to set up the fish aggregation device (FAD) thrown down from a ship on the designed position most accurately. The numerical simulation technique is developed to analyzed the behavior of the settling FAD in consideration of the effect of vortices generated behind it.
