At present, the Geographic Information System (GIS) is one of the tools for obtaining detailed information about the condition of agricultural land with reference to its geographical position. The correct operation of GIS requires a database of objects (electronic charts) containing reliable, up-to-date information. The requirements and procedures of GIS data updating differ for various agricultural sectors.
