Radiation protection and choice of appropriate materials in the areas of medical and industrial applications has become one of the major research topics. In this study, the increment in mass attenuation coefficients by doping of nano-sized barite (BaSO4) into the lead (Pb) have been investigated. The validation of generated MCNPX simulation geometry is provided by comparison with the previous experimental and theoretical studies.
