... à imigração brasileira como fator de atração. Por outro, discute a configuração de um novo processo migratório com sinais invertidos a partir de meados da década de 1980. Com a conclusão dos trabalhos de desflorestamento e limpeza dos terrenos, as terras disponíveis para os contratos de arrendamento progressivamente chegaram ao fim. Excluídos do acesso a terra, restou aos brasiguaios o trabalho assalariado nas médias e grandes propriedades, nos silos e nas cidades. Enfim, a mecanização da agricultura, a incorporação da pequena propriedade pelas grandes e a ausência dos direitos trabalhistas e sociais têm levado os brasiguaios, há mais de 20 anos, a buscar o caminho de volta e a lutar pela terra no Brasil. The returned of the "brasiguaios" Abstract: Recently, the "brasiguaios" problem returned to the pages of the Brazilian press. The was the camp of brasiguaios in the city of Itaquirai-MS. Taking advantage of the opportunity, this text analyzes, on one side, the process of Brazilian immigration in the Eastern Border Region of Paraguay due to the closure of the agricultural frontier in the state of Paraná between the 1960's and 1970's, leading to expulsion, and the incentives given by the Stroessner administration to Brazilian immigration as an attraction factor. On the other hand, this text discusses the configuration of a new migratory process from the middle 1980's. With the end of the works on deforestation and cleaning of the terrains, the lands available for lease contract gradually came to and end. Excluded from the access to land, the only chance left for the "brasiguaios" were the salaried employments in medium and large farms, in silos and the manual work in the cities. Finally, the mechanization of agriculture, the incorporation of the small holdings by the large ones and the absence of labor and social rights have led the brasiguaios, more than 20 years ago, to seek the way back and fight for land in Brazil.
