Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is characterized by the abrupt onset of fever, hypotension, rash, and multiple organ failure. This syndrome was first reported by Todd et al in 1978. This syndrome has also been described as a complication of nasal surgery (Thomas et al, 1982). The patient was a 16-year-old male with abrupt high fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and rash 10 days after sinus surgery. Blood cultures were negative, but a nasal swab grew MRSA. Antibiotics and steroids were administered,
