Granular Cell Ameloblastoma of the Jaw

Ameloblastoma is a benign neoplasm of odontogenic epithelium occurring more commonly in the mandible than the maxilla. The granular cell variant of ameloblastoma is a rare condition, accounting for 3.5% of all ameloblastoma cases. It is known to be locally more aggressive, with a higher chance of recurrence compared with other subtypes.
