We found that ft 〕restry tech − nicians examined the entire tree when making their selection . However , the final selection by both forestry tech − nicians and the public was that of trees which are of gTeatest value for timber pr 〔 } duction. This suggests 吐 hat there is nQ great difference bctween fQrestry technicians and the genera 且 pub 苴 c in the way Qf looking at f6rest trees, Thus it appears that there is some possibility o 正 promoting ft 〕rest environmental education through friendly dialogue between forestry technicians and the general public.
