After a short reference to the historical context that presided over the production of the works, we will analyse the slavish present question in the narratives of the writer. Understanding the Literature like a register of o possibilities of life in a certain time and place, considering the text and the context of the author, and taking the idea of representation as a base, we will investigate as the slavish theme is represented in two works of Bernardo Guimaraes.
