ET systems: A high-level approach to additive synthesis control

This paper presents an algorithmic strategy based on network systems for controlling the large number of parameters typically implied in the additive synthesis process. Such an approach relies on the definition of the behaviour of a system, of which the generated parametric control is an emergent property. This method descends from observations on the behaviour of vibrating acoustic bodies, which constitute both an inspiration and a starting point for developing the control paradigm.
