ABSTRAK Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD adalah model pembelajaran kelompok, yang mewakili heteroginitas kelas. Fungsi dari sebuah kelompok untuk menyiapkan anggotanya agar berhasil menghadapi kuis. Peserta didik yang dijadikan objek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X TPm-1 SMKN 7 Surabaya angkatan 2014 pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) dengan dua siklus setiap siklus mempunyai empat tahapan yaitu, perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, refleksi. Setelah melakukan penelitian menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD diperoleh hasil pengamatan aktivitas siswa saling membantu antar teman satu kelompok, saling berbagi ilmu antar teman satu kelompok dan aktif dalam berdiskusi, sehingga aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran mulai dari siklus I dengan hasil rata-rata 70,83 kemudian pada siklus II mendapatkan rata-rata 85,00 sehingga mengalami peningkatan yaitu sebesar 14,17%. Hasil belajar siswa meningkat karena aktivitas siswa terjadi peningkatan pada hasil belajar mulai dari siklus I dengan nilai rata-rata yaitu 69,20 kemudian pada siklus II nilai rata-rata siswa 83, jika diprosentase hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 33% dan seluruh siswa dinyatakan tuntas karena telah mencapai nilai KKM dengan kelulusan klasikal 84%. Hasil respon yang sangat baik dari siswa yaitu 90,68 % dan dapat membuktikan bahwa siswa lebih tertarik dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. ABSTRACT STAD cooperative learning is group learning model, which represents the heterogenity of the class. The function of a group to prepare its members in order to successfully face the quiz. During this learning in the SMKN 7 Surabaya use the lecture method, so there are many students who do not pay attention and result in lower student learning outcomes. Proven on the course mid-semester student learning outcomes in the academic year 2012/2013 graduation classical 62,5% with an average value of 80. Students who made the object of research is the student X TPm-1 SMKN 7 Surabaya class of 2014 in the first semester of academic year 2014/2015. This research is action research (Classroom Action Research) with two cycles each cycle has four stages, namely, planning, action, observation, reflection.
