The aim of deliverable 1.3 is to summarise 5G-ROUTES CAM deployment plan giving a snapshot view of assumptions, challenges and opportunities identified in initial stage of the 5G-ROUTES project. The report is based on MNO's perspective for setting up a new 5G trial network for large scale trials of Northern Europe. The project title proposes a longer-term deployment strategy, however, such strategy is dependent on delays of 3GPP releases, i.e. R.16 to 2021 and R.17 to 2022/2023 and associated

This restricts availability and vendor readiness to provide the technology before 2023 and to propose longer term strategy for deployment at least in initial phase of the project. Cross-border 5G communication demonstration gives several challenges which should be addressed during the deployment phase of the project. Within the report a blending of use case requirements, enabling technologies and technical framework requirements are analysed alongside the technical challenges faced by geopolitical limitations and legislations. All above mentioned aspects are carefully summarised and pinned for further risk assessment type of analysis, identifying opportunities for deployment of the use cases, in particular at border crossing locations. The report also includes an analysis of Latvia, Estonia and Finland regulations in both CAM and radio spectrum, aiming to set the legislative landscape. Finally, the report presents the 5G-ROUTES demonstration 5G network deployment plan for large scale and localised trial sites in Latvia, Estonia and Finland.
