Keywords: Aims: To evaluate the alteration of blood glucose in alcoholic liver disease(ALD). Methods: The study was conducted on 106 alcoholic liver disease patients admitted at a tertiary care hospital in Imphal and their Fasting blood sugar (FBS) and Post prandial blood glucose (PPBS) were measured by autoanalyser using glucose oxidase method. more » ... coholic liver disease were as follows: DM in 25 patients (23.6%) and IGT in 43 patients (40.6%). Conclusions: Prevalence of DM and IGT was found to be 23.6% and 40.6% respectively. Hence screening for impaired glucose tolerance or DM should be done as a routine.
