... coholic liver disease were as follows: DM in 25 patients (23.6%) and IGT in 43 patients (40.6%). Conclusions: Prevalence of DM and IGT was found to be 23.6% and 40.6% respectively. Hence screening for impaired glucose tolerance or DM should be done as a routine.
