UNIFORM ASSOCIATION DIAMOND MODEL FOR SQUARE CONTINGENCY TABLES WITH ORDERED CATEGORIES

This paper introduces a model that is an extension of Goodman's (1985) diamond model, for the analysis of square contingency tables with the same ordinal row and column classifications. The extended model can be viewed as a model of quasi uniform association applied to the diamond shape formed by rotating the square table forty-five degrees. An example is given.
