Based on the discrete event-based simulation method, this paper aims to model the Paranaguá "KM5" Railyard, looking at the inbound and outbound movement of trains and wagons from an ecologic perspective. The originality of this paper comes from the inclusion of the train parameters and ecoefficiency concerning train operation.
