GENERALIZED HYPOTHESIS OF ATHEROGENESIS
2021
The hypothesis that atherosclerosis is the result of delayed cellular regeneration after arterial wall necrosis caused by pulsed mechanical loads has been put forward and substantiated. This happens in conditions of excess of the permissible load, lack or violation of the proportions of the main material and information resources and suboptimal body temperature. Numerous hypotheses of atherogenesis put forward earlier are included in the proposed generalized hypothesis as special cases.
