A replacement name for Macranillus Baehr, 2016 (Insecta: Coleoptera: Carabidae: Bembidiini: Anillina)

The recently described genus Macranillus Baehr, 2016, has been shown to be a junior homonym of Macranillus Sharp, 1903, a genus of Bembidiini, which, however, is a synonym of Bembidion, subgenus Nesocidium Sharp, 1903. This renders the genus-group name Macranillus Baehr, 2016 as unavailable, and the genus is herein renamed as Magnanillus gen. nov. The five subterranean species originally included in Macranillus are transferred to Magnanillus.
