Comparison the effectiveness of Logotherapy Based on Rumi's Thought with acceptance and commitment therapy on the psychological well-being of elderly

Abstracts The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of logo therapy based on Rumi's thoughts with acceptance and commitment therapy on the psychological well-being of the elderly. The research method was a multi-group with pre-test-post-test design. A psychological well-being questionnaire (Reef, 1989) was used to collect information. For the first group experimental, the logo therapy based on Molana's thoughts was executed in 8 sessions of 75 minutes and for the second group, acceptance and commitment therapy was provided in 8 sessions of 75 minutes whereas control groups have any training during this period. The results of the mixed analysis variance showed that the logo therapy based on Rumi's thoughts and acceptance and commitment therapy can increase the psychological well-being and It 's components of the elderly. Also, the results showed that there is no significant difference between the effectiveness of the two groups of psychological well-being of the elderly. These results can document to using logo therapy based on Rumi's thoughts and acceptance and commitment therapy in psychological rehabilitation courses for the elderly.
