The article researches the peculiarities of acquiring the status of a participant in administrative proceedings. It is established that persons belonging to different groups of participants in administrative proceedings will in fact be holders of different procedural rights that require different content of guarantees. In this case, a person in the presence of a legal basis for his participation in consideration and decision of administrative courts of a specific case in the trial acquires the legal status characteristic of a particular participant in administrative proceedings. It is determined that the same person can acquire both the same and different legal status of a participant in administrative proceedings during the consideration of different administrative cases. On the other hand, regardless of who acquires the legal status of a participant in administrative proceedings, the set of elements that determine it is not variable and depends solely on the structure of administrative procedural law.
