This paper reports the performance of nickel oxide based electrode in alkaline anion exchange membrane water electrolysis. The membrane used is polystyrene based alkaline membrane and the electrode used is Nickel as cathode and Nickel oxide as anode. The electrochemical activity of the Nickel oxide is high compared to uncoated electrode. The AWE membrane electrode gave high current density at 300C with deionised water.
