In this study, focusing on the "Collection of Historical Materials Related to People with Disability in the Early Modern Age" by Katsumi Namase, a pioneer in the study of early modern disability history, I overviewed his research methods and compilation process, analyzed the age, region, types of historical materials, and characteristics of expressions and words used in this collection, and examined methods of collecting and publishing historical materials in the future.
