Electrochemical measurements of this system revealed the maximum specific capacitance, energy density and power density of 417 F g 1 , 58 Wh kg 1 and17.85 kWkg -1 , respectively at a current density of 0.9 Ag -1 . Graphene/silver nanoparticle/polypyrole modified glassy carbon electrode (Gr-AgNPs-PPy-GCE) was synthesized and its use as a supercapacitor electrode is under investigation. Graphene (Gr)gold nanoparticles (AuNP)-Nafion and silver nanoparticle (AgNP)/graphene oxide (GO) composites have been successfully synthesized and characterized. These materials were investigated as supercapacitor electrodes with different electrolytes. AuNP-Nafion was found to be useful for sensing the pharmaceutical molecule Sumatriptan, and AgNP/GO shows high sensitivity in detection of Arsenic.
