An Integrated Approach to Dependability Requirements Engineering
[chapter]
2003
Current Issues in Safety-Critical Systems
This paper discusses an approach to system requirements elicitation that integrates safety requirements elicitation and analysis with more general requirements analysis. We propose that the analysis should be organised round pervasive 'concerns' such as safety and security which can drive the requirements engineering process. The paper introduces the notion of concerns based on business goals and discusses how concerns are used to elicit information about system requirements from stakeholders.
