TiC Coating on Steel from Molten Salts Bath by Electroless Technique
The objective of this investigation is to develop a method for TiC coating on steel which can be easily performed at a lower temperature than that commonly used. An electroless TiC coating from a molten salts bath was studied. For an optimum condition to perform the TiC coating, a bath con-In this condition, the TiC coatings possessed a metallic brightness and high hardness more than 4,000kg/mm2. The TiC coating appears to be performed when the carbon content of steel exceeds around 0.8%. It is
