Simulation and Analysis on the Effect of Static Synchronous Compensation Device on HVDC Commutation Failure

As the second generation of FACTS products, static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) can dynamically compensate for the reactive power of the system, thereby improving the operating characteristics of the system. The STATCOM is connected to the HVDC inverter AC bus, and the HVDC transmission system model with STATCOM is established.
