This paper presents a data mining methodology to investigate the performance of students. We analyze unique approaches standing on cluster analysis and regression trees so as to identify methods for enhancing the performance of high school kids. We also figure out ways to create a prediction model and find out factors responsible for the performance of students in final exams. The approach thus used gives a clear idea of current evaluation as well, as the results were based on actual records.
