Doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind turbines are very sensitive to grid voltage variations. Therefore, low-voltage-ride-through (LVRT) and high-voltage-ride-through (HVRT) capabilities are employed to improve DFIG performance during grid faults and voltage swell events.
