Geometrid moth Eupithecia breviculata (Donzel, 1937) is provided for the fauna of Ukraine for the first time. Mediterranean species, which area spread territory in Europe from Portugal to the southern Urals. The record of this species in the steppe zone of Ukraine is natural because it is known from neighboring countries: Romania (regions Dobrogea and Moldova) and Russia (Rostov region).
