Azo dyes represent the largest class of synthetic dyes and their breakdown products are toxic and/or mutagenic to life. This paper describes the synthesis of some novel azo dyes and evaluation for their resistance against the growth of fungi organisms, antihelmentic properties, and dyeing abilities on cotton fabrics. The products were characterized by UV-Vis, IR, 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR spectral studies and elemental analysis.
