A new methodology has been developed for history matching seismic impedances from 3D reservoir fluid flow and petro-elastic simulations with those obtained by 4D (time-lapse) seismic inversion. The objective is to build predictive flow models directly constrained by the geological (borehole) and geophysical (seismic) information.
