Resumo: O propósito deste artigo é analisar relatórios de Estágio Supervisionado de Licenciatura em Letras (Português/Inglês), nomeados neste trabalho de RES. Abstract: The purpose of this article is to analyze reports from Supervised Practicum of Language Arts (Portuguese / English), named in this work as RES. At the analyzed reports, we will focus on the Contextual Configuration (CC) and Potential Structure of Gender (PSG), viewed in Halliday and Hasan (1989) . Along with this, we will focus on the issue of writing practice in initial teaching training. We begin the article discussing the Halliday's social semiotic theory, concepts of text in Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). After that, we study gender, register and metafunctions in LSF. We also correlate gender and register to the contextual configuration and potential structure of gender. To conclude, we analyze some reports and present some reflections concerning the research in question.
