This is the first part of a series of papers on the bionomics and geographical distribution of Hungarian Tortricidae, which covers Phtheochroa Stephens, 1829 species. The study presents partial flight data, food plants and preferred habitats of Cochylini species. A distribution map of each species has been produced.
