This paper introduces a review of the layers used in surface plasmon resonance (SPR) with different types of optical fiber and different designs. Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) offers exceptional advantages, such as labelfree, in-situ, and real-time measurement abilities that facilitate the study of molecular or chemical binding events that can be used as highly sensitive tools for biosensing.
