EDITORIAL RBF RESULTS IN 2009 The Brazilian Society of Fruticulture (SBF) started in 1970 when its first congress happened in the city of Campinas, and we had the privilege of being one of its founders. In 1978, with the need of stimulating and disseminating the researches of this promising Society, this magazine was born. The RBF, initially designed to be published quarterly, in 2008 began to be published every three months, with approximately 40 papers in each edition. In this approach, we will try to present some data that confirm it as the magazine for national integration in the field of fruticulture: 1) NUMBER OF WORKS RECEIVED By STATE In 2009, among the 121 papers published up to this edition, we have the following distribution by state. 2) NUMBER OF RECEIVED PAPERS In a comparative analysis from 2004 to 2009, we can evaluate the growth in the number of papers received for evaluation, showing the confidence of researchers in delegating this task to disseminate to the scientific community their hard work, showing, on the other hand, the number of reproved papers, demonstrating the care of those involved in this difficult task to approve or reprove a study, showing that the RBF is a magazine that excels at quality, due to the level that it reached.
