Embedded systems are becoming increasingly complex and heterogeneous. Formal methods have proven effective in ensuring reliability and safety. However, they are hard to scale up. Modeling and Simulation (M&S)-based methods, on the other hand, deal effectively with scalability issues and provide the benefits of a risk-free testing environment.
