The present seismic data resolution itself cannot challenge the exploration of thin reservoirs that is less than 1/4 wavelength. Therefore, it is a worthwhile approach to detect thin reservoirs by tuning the spatial relative amplitude variations with seismic data of an acceptable resolution.
