RESUMO É notório que quando se trata de matemática, a maioria dos alunos mostra dificuldades na compreensão dos conteúdos. ABSTRACT It is clear that when it comes to mathematics, most students show difficulties in understanding the content. With regard to prime numbers, this fact seems to be more evident, perhaps because the student is unaware of their importance and how much these numbers are part of their daily lives. Given this context, this work aims to present the history, the main theorems, the definitions and properties related to the prime numbers that add to the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic (TFA). It also proposes to the educator methodological teaching suggestions for classes in the sixth year of elementary school with proposals for recreational activities.
