Bridging the Gap between Semantic Web and Networked Sensors: A Position Paper
2010
International Semantic Web Conference
In this position paper, we present our work towards designing a Semantic Web languages-compatible representation for networked sensors. The representation, Entity Notation, is proposed to connect sensors to the Semantic Web. Entity Notation can express RDF and OWL ontology models in a uniform format. Meanwhile, it offers a lightweight alternative for sensors with limited computation and communication capabilities. We present motivation and design issues of Entity Notation in this paper.
